One of the best parts of Bloodborne is getting to run around the dimly lit streets of its Victorian-inspired setting of Yharnam, narrowly missing beasts, splashing through the insipid sewers, and dashing from one lantern-lit patch to another.
Bloodborne may not be on the same scale as Elden Ring, but it definitely features one of the most iconic settings in video game history with players being rewarded for heading off the beaten track and seeing what they discover.
However, as with many souls games, they can be quite daunting and if you want to dive into Bloodborne without having to worry about any nasty surprises, one user over on r/bloodborne has you covered.
User Dibilowas has recently shared a world map for Bloodborne based on a fellow map originally created by HYPN0TYK.

This world map took Dibilowas three weeks to make with over 120 hours in PhotoShop and it is clear to see how much work went into this project.
Each area is carefully colour-coordinated and ranges all the way from the dreaded Fishing Hamlet in the north to Byrgenwerth in the south.
Other iconic locations of course include Central Yharnam, Hunter’s Nightmare, Iosefka’s Clinic, Castle Cainhurst and much more.
How Did the Creator Manage Such a Feat?
“After 10 years I've finally been able to play Bloodborne,” the user shared.

“I know it's not gonna be of use to most people since the game launched a decade ago and there's a great world map already made by HYPN0TYK (which I used in my first run), but I love doing these, so a made one.”
Using the area map from the official Bloodborne guide, Dibilowas assembled each area in different layers before drawing over each one.
I feel like I could've done a much better job if a 3D collision map viewer existed for Bloodborne like it does for Dark Souls 1, at least I didn't find one,” they continued.
“For example, you can see Iosefka's Clinic from the Forbidden Woods entrance but it's really far away unlike in the map, and if I move one part of an area, it disconnects in many other places and it's a nightmare to connect everything without misshaping the whole layout.”

However, they reveal that they are happy with the finished product and hope that it is at least of some use to some players.
“Do you know how big this is in comparison to the Dark Souls maps?” one comment reads. “Bloodborne always felt much shorter but it’s hard to know if it actually is. So cool to see it laid out like this, winding paths make places like the Forbidden Woods and Hemwick feel so much larger than they actually are.”
“Eyes above what I wouldn't have given for this map when I was completing this game. Amazing job!” another comment read.
