At long last, we have officially received confirmation of the title of the next Battlefield entry and it is safe to say that nobody is shocked.
Rumours surrounding the next entry in the Battlefield saga have been rife over recent months with its last instalment, Battlefield 2042, being released back in 2021.
With EA Dice being behind its development, it is still unclear what fans can expect. Will we be heading back to the future like in Battlefield 2042 or will the series go back to its roots by exploring past conflicts much like Battlefield and Battlefield V?
All of that remains to be seen but thanks to a recent leak, we can assume that an official Battlefield 6 announcement is on the way.

This news comes courtesy of DooM49 over on Twitter who shared an image of a large promotional package sent to them by EA.
The storage container is adorned with the words ‘Battlefield 6’ and features red straps printed with words such as ‘Conquest’, ‘Breakthrough’, ‘Rush’, and ‘PTFO’, the latter of which stands for “Play the Fu**ing Objective”.

We can assume that Conquest, Breakthrough and Rush will be playable modes in Battlefield 6 and this is the first official confirmation we have received.

However, it seems as though some sort of NDA was breached when DooM49 posted this as the image was soon taken down.
What we can gather from it, however, is that an official Battlefield 6 announcement is on the way as creator care packages are usually sent out close to the reveal as a way to generate hype.
That being said, with the post being removed, it is hard to determine when we could see EA coming forward.
Either way, it is believed that Battlefield 6 will be released in the current fiscal year which ranges from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. If true, there are still plenty of months left to see its possible release.
