Battlefield 6 gameplay has leaked, and it’s fair to say that fans are blown away - and to be honest, so are we.

Battlefield has been a leading franchise in the military shooter market for years, predating the arrival of the Call of Duty series. Granted, the first game, Battlefield 1942, was only released the year before Call of Duty in 2002, but its longevity is no less impressive.

That being said, while Call of Duty has had its fair share of hiccups in the road, in recent years especially, Battlefield has had it extra rough. Case and point, 2023’s Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield Labs was recently launched, allowing fans to help devs test the next franchise entry.

Battlefield 2042 was always going to have a tough time winning over even its most loyal fans after EA announced that it would be dropping the single-player campaign, making the latest military shooter in the series a multiplayer game only.

On top of that, Battlefield 2042 launched missing basic features such as a competent matchmaking system; that's not to mention the presence of uninspired maps, bugs and more, so the DICE entry was always doomed to fail.

Thankfully, at least, due to some epic historic entries in the series, fans are still hoping that the franchise gets back on track with Battlefield 6 (currently not its official title) and judging by recent leaked gameplay, early signs are looking promising.

Leaked gameplay footage taken from a closed alpha test has been making the social media rounds, and while EA has understandably been working hard to erase said footage, I’ve seen it courtesy of CharlieIntel, and it looks great.

“We might be back,” declared KenshinRell, replying to the tweet from CharlieIntel.

“I refuse to believe the game plays as good as it looks until it's out,” said a sceptical Lit4Geeks.

“I can already tell there are gonna be some incredible trick shots in this game,” said ConnertonLuke.

“That is cool as heck,” exclaimed Elecctricc.

“The way the helicopter went down, OMG!” replied an excited Zinqzz. “Imagine the destruction when it goes down, hitting a building.”

Battlefield 6 does not have a release date at the time of writing, but hopefully, it will launch later this year or by early 2026. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
