The Ancient Trilogy was a pretty divisive reboot for the Assassin's Creed franchise, with the move to a deeper RPG approach proving to be a step too far for many longtime fans of the series.
That said, if you ask me (I know you didn't), both Origins and Odyssey really are excellent excellent examples of the genre, with solid storytelling approaches that really are worth playing if you're into the lore.
Valhalla admittedly let the trilogy down quite badly, really becoming bloated beyond anything that could be considered enjoyable to play - there is a fan remaster, though, if you enjoyed it.
All three games are available on Xbox Game Pass right now, which is great if you're a subscriber, but you can work your way around that for Origins with much less of an outlay than you might expect right now.

Assassin's Creed Origins is 90% off
As first reported by PureXbox, Assassin's Creed Origins is available on the Xbox store right now for a pretty staggering 90 percent off, reducing the price to the very appealing point of £5.49/$5.99.
We can't stress how much game you're getting for your money at that price, with the main story taking at least 30 hours to beat if you don't do anything else, but more realistically you're looking at 50 hours on a normal playthrough.

If you're a completionist, that quickly becomes much more like 100 hours, and it's a pretty gratifying experience along the way.
Without wishing to brag too much, I have all the achievements for Origins, and both it and Odyssey were some of the best journeys towards that goal that I have ever had the pleasure of being on.
If that doesn't take your fancy for some reason, there are a ton of other games that are currently available at 90-95% off the usual retail price.
Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 are an absolute steal at £1.49/$1.49 and £1.49/$1.99 respectively, again giving you more than a hundred hours of potential enjoyment across both their runtimes.

Assuming you're into RPGs, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is another great deal to be aware of, coming in at just £2.49/$3.99, for what is an absolute masterpiece from CD Projekt RED.
The Complete Edition of the game is also a respectable 80% off, so if you're looking to pick up all the DLCs and additional content, that's probably the best way to go.
The sale is set to continue until 3 December, so make sure to pick up everything you want before then.
