Promising new story details have reportedly leaked for Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed Hexe, offering more background on the main protagonist, supporting characters and new hints about where the game could be set.
Assassin’s Creed Hexe is widely believed to be the next entry in the series after it was officially teased in September 2022 during a Ubisoft Forward event. However, since then, no further details about the game have been officially revealed.
That being said, additional Assassin’s Creed Hexe details have been making the rounds on social media, and seem to reveal the main protagonist's name, supporting characters, her rival clan and one of the locations in which the next Assassin’s Creed game will be set.
What we recently learned about Assassin’s Creed Hexe
As reported by MP1st, the main protagonist, who we believe to be a witch from 16th-century Germany, is being referred to as “Petra”, and she’s in her mid-20s.
It’s possible that “Petra” could be her placeholder name for now, but no doubt we’ll learn either way in the coming months. In terms of personality, she’s described as being passionate and strong-willed.

One of the locations in Assassin’s Creed Hexe is said to be Augsburg, Bavaria. It’s most likely that this is just one of the areas the game is set in.
Petra is being hunted by a witch-hunting group called The Order of the Lamb, who are said to have a major role in Assassin’s Creed Hexe’s story. We don’t know for sure just yet, but it’s possible they could be linked to the Templars or are some sort of sect that stems from the Templars.
Another character is called “Anna”, and she’s part of the modern-day storyline. She’s described as “a driven, impatient career woman firing on all cylinders in a competitive work environment,” and she may have ties to Abstergo or the Animus Hub portion of the story.
A character called “Mother Gertrud” is from 16th-century Germany, described as being 65 years old, and was once a trusted healer in her village community. However, a plague of sorts swept through her village, and the residents turned against her, blaming her for witchcraft.
Finally, the last piece of information of note is that these leaks reportedly come from casting calls that were held from 2023 up until the last few months.
