The beloved entry in the Ubisoft series, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is getting a sequel this year and fans have called it “amazing”.

Originally released in 2013, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is one of the most popular games in the Ubisoft series with fans not only charmed by the pirate lifestyle it brings but also by its endlessly charismatic protagonist, Edward Kenway.

In recent times, rumours have been making the rounds that Ubisoft has a remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag in production, which will no doubt please its legion of devoted fans. Whether that remake is real, only time will tell.

However, what we do not for sure is real, is a sequel called Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple. News of Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple was first announced in April 2023 as an online WEBTOON series.

“Edward Kenway returns to take the leap of faith in an all-new adventure. The high-seas hunt is on for a long-lost treasure left by ‘Those Who Came Before’. But this time, The Templars aren’t the only ones after the prize,” reads the synopsis of Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple.

Following its announcement, fans on Reddit praised the sequel. “I'm curious, what is your opinion on Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple? Personally, I think it's amazing and very true to AC lore,” said Redditor AssassinBoi394.

“I love it as well, and I personally think it’s the best series out of all of the other ones,” replied tr_Sonic_Krazy_Boy.

As great as the digital WEBTOON series is, there’s nothing quite like flicking through the pages of a physical comic or graphic novel.

If you prefer physical media, then you’ll be pleased to know, as reported by Game Rant, Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple is getting a physical manga release.

While no solid release date has been announced for Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple, we do know that VIZ Media will be publishing the physical release late this year.
