Did you know that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has a sequel? It does, and fans have called it “amazing”.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag came out way back in 2013, and since then we haven’t really had much in the ways of new games that continue the story of the characters.
We’ve all come to love characters like Bayek, Kassandra, and Naoe, but I know a fair few of us wouldn’t mind it if we got a continuation of Edward’s story. There are still some gaps in that story that could be filled in.
Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple is a comic that first debuted on Webtoon in 2023, but it appears that it’s also getting a physical release in November. Released by Viz Media, Vol. 1 comprises the first seven issues of the comic.

The physical version was released first in French last year, but this upcoming release will localise it to English to prepare it for release in English-language territories.
The plot involves a descendant of Edward Kenway being abducted by Abstergo Industries, forced to relive his ancestor’s genetic memories to further Abstergo’s Templar goals. It’s a pretty similar premise to that of the first Assassin’s Creed game.

“I'm getting caught up on season 2 and it already proved one thing,” one Reddit user recommended. “Getting to see Edward's story continue is amazing, and the modern day sections are amazing too. Definitely go give it a read if it interests you.”
“Edward's story in it is great. But what really stands out for me is the modern day storyline,” writes another user.
“It's the best since the end of the Desmond saga, I could easily see it working as a game.”
However, some users were also torn on it. One user mentioned that they liked “seeing Edward's story continue,” but that their “main problem is with the Modern Day.”
