ARC Raiders Players Spot Sneaky Tease, New Map Could Be Coming Soon

Could ARC Raiders players be onto something?

ARC Raiders fans believe that a new map could be coming soon, following a sneaky tease.

Without a doubt, ARC Raiders, developed and published by the indie team at Embark Studios, was a big success in 2025. Now and again, a surprise hit appears like an RKO out of nowhere, and alongside Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the third-person extraction shooter was just that.

“In ARC Raiders, gameplay flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines and the vibrant underground society of Speranza. Craft, repair, and upgrade your gear in the safety of your own workshop, before venturing topside to scavenge the remnants of a devastated but beautiful world,” reads the description of the game.

“Play solo or in parties up to three, navigating the constant threat of ARC's machines and the unpredictable choices of fellow survivors. In the end, only you decide what kind of Raider you are - and how far you’ll go to prevail.”

The simple premise of ARC Raiders is this: enter the map, gather loot, and escape with as much of that loot as humanly possible. However, to stop you escaping with that precious loot, not only will NPC machines try to kill you, but far worse humans will most likely shoot you on sight.

Speaking of shooting on sight, recently, gamers learned that the developers at Embark Studios have implemented a matchmaking system that will pair ‘shoot on sight’ gamers with other aggressive players. This feature had much of its community scratching their heads about how the developer knows this. So the moral of that story is try not to be a douche.

ARC Raiders Players Believe a New Map Is Inbound

“Possibly (hopefully) a new ARC Raiders map!” declared Redditor Folli_YouTube.

“These pictures are a part of early concept art designs for the game, with most of them being from the maps we have today! So, although concept art is just that... concept art, this particular map design still feels very possible, and I just cannot get over how cool the map is,” they continued.

You can view that post below.

The Reddit user mentioned in an edit that one of the concept art images in the post looks to be from an existing map, so there's nothing to say the other mock-ups won't eventually come to fruition.

“If Embark keeps adding maps/ARC, I can basically play this game forever,” replied MoreScarsThanSkin.

“It would be fun if there was a high tide/low tide mechanic to it,” suggested TeamUltimate-2475.

“Wow, I really hope so! The map looks so dope,” exclaimed Sea-Sail-2594.

It remains to be seen if this concept art and fan theory come to fruition. We’ll keep you updated if anything official drops.

ARC Raiders is out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S - and you can scroll on to read more about the game's recent matchmaking changes.
