Hogwarts Legacy Players Shouldn't Miss This New DLC Release

Enjoy the magic of a good rollercoaster

There are a lot of games that lean on magic to deliver fun and excitement to players, but there are certain genres where you just don't necessarily expect to see it.

Top of that list is probably construction and management simulators, but that hasn't stopped Planet Coaster 2 developer Frontier Developments from dropping a new DLC that should delight the well-practiced wizards and witches amongst you.

The Sorcery Pack is set to release on 16 September, and it looks like one of the most visually striking content additions that we've seen in either of the Planet Coaster games.

The DLC comes with hundreds of fantastic new scenery pieces that should enable you to build your very own Wizarding World of Harry Potter at home. The big standouts from the trailer are the new building models and elements with castle spires, flying buttresses and frightening gargoyles all available to add an ethereal gothic atmosphere to your park.

That in mind, what park is complete without the rides to go along with it? Fear not, as the DLC pack also comes with five new rides that can be fully customised with arcane themes (or any of the other existing customisation options), so they won't spoil your carefully crafted thematic park.

The OUTMAX LSM Raid Coaster, comes with quick switch tracks and swing launches, whilst the OUTAMAX steel coaster comes with a Bike and Sidecar that screams (excuse the rollercoaster pun) loveable giant Hagrid.

Rounding out the new rides are the VECTOR Child Coaster, which tones things down for the younger crowd, immersive simulation experience the FLYING THEATRE and GALE FORCE, a dizzying pendulum flat ride that should turn even the hardiest of stomachs.

That comes alongside the free Update 7, which is also set to add a lot to the existing offering of the base game. The headline news from that is the new Challenge Mode, which promises to push park managers to their limits with more difficult situations and scenarios. It's also adding three axis building rotation for even more customisation options when building your park and a new Terrain Style option that allows paths to automatically adjust when altering the terrain of your park to suit guests.

If you're looking to get your hands on the new DLC, the Planet Coaster 2: Sorcery Pack launches on PC via Steam, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S on Tuesday 16th September for £9.99/$12.99/EUR 12.99.
