2026 feels like a lifetime away when you’re looking forward to games coming out, and nobody is feeling this more than GTA fans.
When the second trailer for GTA VI finally dropped after over a year since the first, we got a better look at the game that will steal away hundreds of hours from us, and likely make billions of dollars.
The hype refuses to die down, and it’s no surprise, given that we’ve had to wait over a decade since the last time Rockstar Games gave us a GTA adventure.
GTA VI is shaping up to be a brilliant game, and those excited to finally get their hands on the game are all saying the same thing… we just need to stay alive.

It’s a morbid thought, but the comments under the second trailer on YouTube are leading in that direction.
“Objective updated: survive till 2026,” says the top comment, with over half a million upvotes.
Another user comments, “Just need to survive this next year…”
I’d say that will be easy, but looking at the state of the world, it’s an understandable goal to just make it to the release.

Perhaps even more morbid is the comment, “A moment of silence for those who did not live to see this day,” which also has around half a million thumbs up.
Grand Theft Auto creates a very different kind of hype compared to other games, and brings out the feral side of gamers.
Everyone has been chewing the walls in anticipation of the blockbuster game, and it’s no shock to see many of them with just this one goal in mind.
We’ve waited so long, and as this YouTube commenter says, “12 years down. Surely we can survive just one more.”

Okay, if you insist, I’ll wait until I’ve finished the campaign before dying.
