Xbox throws some serious shade at PlayStation’s new game announcements during this week’s Showcase event.

While this week’s PlayStation Showcase event was a reasonably good showing with announcements such as the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, not to mention the first gameplay reveals for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Alan Wake II and Dragon’s Dogma II, it was certainly short of major exclusives.

Out of all the games featured during the show, the following titles are PlayStation console exclusives with some likely being timed exclusives the PC arrivals:

  • Beat Sabre and Queen - DLC (PSVR2)
  • Concord (PS5/PS4)
  • Fairgame$ (PC/PS5)
  • Final Fantasy XVI (PS5)
  • Foamstars (PS5/PS4)
  • Granblue Fantasy: Relink (PS5/PS5)
  • Helldivers 2 (PC/PS5)
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (PS5)
  • Phantom Blade Zero (PS5)
  • Revenant Hill (PS5/PS4)
  • Sword of the Sea (PS5)
  • Tower of Fantasy (PS5/PS4)
  • Towers of Aghasba (PS5)
  • Ultros (PC/PS5/PS4)
  • Arizona Sunshine 2 (PSVR2)
  • Crossfire: Sierra Squad (PSVR2)
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 (PSVR2)
  • Resident Evil 4 VR Mode (PSVR2)
  • Synapse (PSVR2)

This means that the following are multiformat and Xbox let PlayStation know it!

  • Alan Wake II (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage (PC/PlayStation/Xbox)
  • Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean (PC/PlayStation/Xbox/Switch)
  • Destiny 2: The Final Shape (PC/PlayStation/Xbox)
  • Dragon’s Dogma II (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Ghostrunner 2 (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Immortals of Aveum (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Marathon (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Metal Gear Solid 3 remake (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 (platforms TBC)
  • Neva (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S/Switch)
  • Street Fighter 6 (PC/PlayStation/Xbox)
  • Teardown (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)
  • The Plucky Squire (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S/Switch
  • The Talos Principle II (PC/PS5/Xbox Series X|S)

Don’t get us wrong, we enjoyed last night’s PlayStation Showcase, however, a few more exclusives such as Death Stranding 2, Marvel’s Wolverine, Silent Hill 2 remake as well as Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us multiplayer game would have helped to beef up Sony’s prowess.
