We’re all aware that when it comes to our beloved hobby of video games, keeping up with the latest releases and hardware is not cheap. Thankfully, at least when it comes to video games, there are plenty of ways to enjoy our hobby without spending a fortune, outside of subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.

Every month, Xbox and PlayStation host digital sales on the respective storefronts, such as the current PlayStation Spring Sale that ends this week! Xbox also has its own sale taking place right now. However, hidden away amongst the discounts are a ton of free games at your fingertips.

“If you go to the store tab on the Xbox app, then scroll down to ‘Game Deals’ and click ‘See All’, you can then sort the list and put it to ‘Price (Low to High)’, then you can see all the games on sale that are free! Space Invaders is free right now, very cool!”

We know that this is no hidden hack or anything, especially when it comes to discovering the cheapest games in a sale. That being said, it might be overlooked that there are loads of free games in any given sale that you might otherwise miss out on.

Again, we know that this feature isn't revolutionary by any stretch of the imagination, but judging by some of the comments in the Reddit thread, some gamers were not aware that this sorting feature is available on the Xbox mobile app, and is not just exclusive to the console and website.
