In a game where battling monsters and mythical creatures is a standard day-to-day practice, who you should pick to be with is also an important matter. For The Witcher 3’s Geralt of Rivia, his relationship with sorceress Yennefer is being hailed as one of gaming’s best love stories by fans.
The Witcher’s Geralt and Yennefer relationship is one of the most iconic features of the franchise, with the two often finding their way back to each other no matter what. Even though Geralt can choose to run off with Triss Merigold, another sorceress, many fans seem to think he truly belongs with Yennefer.

In a recent post on r/playstation, a post asked, “Who are the most wholesome video game couples of all time?” with an image featuring Geralt and Yennefer alongside Nate and Elena from Uncharted, Clive and Jill from Final Fantasy and Commander Shepard and Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect.
As you can expect from a post like this, the comments were soon flooded with everybody’s thoughts. “Yen and Geralt are definitely not wholesome if you'd seen what that unicorn had seen,” said one user, referring to the stuffed unicorn the pair have sex on. “Yup. Not wholesome… but I do love them. In their essence, they’re pretty devoted to each other,” another added.

Although many players thought Geralt and Yennefer’s relationship could be considered toxic, they still believe the pair are meant to be. “I found Yennefer incredibly aloof but even I couldn't do that to her. Her and Geralt were meant to be a toxic mess forever,” read one comment with another adding, “[They are] both undeniably in love with each other.”
Whether or not you think their relationship is healthy or not, there is still no denying they are one of the most well-known couples in video game history. Even after what they did to that poor stuffed unicorn.
