One of the greatest Halloween/Christmas hybrid films of all time, The Nightmare Before Christmas, is returning to the big screen.

It’s been 30 years since The Nightmare Before Christmas came out, and it’s become a must-watch for the end of the year., though there’s still a lot of debate as to whether it’s a Halloween film or a Christmas film.

Check out the original trailer for The Nightmare Before Christmas below!

Regardless, it’s regarded as a Disney classic, which is ironic since the company was initially opposed to the film’s darker themes and story. As you’d expect from a Tim Burton film, it’s got its fair share of scares, death, and more creepy crawlies than you can shake a stick at, but over the years, the company has embraced the title and regularly includes it as part of its Disneyland festivities.

Following the Pumpkin King Jack Skeleton, the love of his life Sally, and other creepy characters, the plot follows Jack’s quest to ditch his role as the champion of Halloween and branch out to something a little more festive.

Obviously, his plan to put on a Christmas that no one will ever forget goes horribly wrong, but makes for a thoroughly entertaining and beautifully animated film that’s loved by millions.

Fans will no doubt be excited to watch the classic on the big screen once again, exclusively at Regal Cinemas, which was officially announced in a recent tweet with a gorgeous new poster.

The tweet read: “What’s this? What’s this? Celebrate 30 years with The Pumpkin King and catch Tim Burton’s 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' back on the big screen for a limited time - coming to Regal October 20!”

If you’re one of the lucky few to have a Regal cinema near you, don’t miss out on this beloved film’s return. For those that aren’t so lucky, a 4K version of the film was recently released, and it can also be watched on Disney+
