If there’s one thing you should never do, it’s ask a lady her age, that’s what my grandmother always said. She might still say it, she’s not dead.

And, if a lady does reveal her age, we really shouldn’t be shocked to hear the answer, even if situations arise where we’re genuinely surprised that she looks so young, as is the case with this Star Wars actress.

Over on Reddit, fans were shocked to hear that Ming-Na Wen, who plays Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, is 61 years old.

“Just found out that the actress is 61 years old?! She looks to be around 30,” said the thread creator, Cheeezzey.

“She was around 30 when she did Mulan, which came out in 1998, lol,” commented Geth3 in reply to the news.

This then spiralled into users sharing their favourite moments from Wen’s career, with some pointing to her turn in the hospital drama ER, and others looking to familiar pop culture franchises.

“Street Fighter in 1993 is even closer [to her being 30]," notes Astrokiwi.

In the video game adaptation, Wen played Chun-Li alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia and Kylie Minogue.

Wen has been a figure in pop culture for decades, and one comment mentions an older role of hers, saying, “My first thought was, 'Wait she looks like that one character from Stargate Universe back then, but that's impossible.' She really looks as if she hasn't aged a day in the years between.”

“Ming-Na Wen is a beauty that never ages. She is not only a Star Wars actress, she is a total Star Wars geek,” said AdHairy4360.

It’s true, she does not look even close to her real age, and this is mentioned throughout the Reddit thread, with one fan saying, “The woman is literally Mulan, the laws of physics don’t apply to her.”

Quite fitting, if you ask me.
