Grogu’s age has Star Wars fans confused, with many wondering when he’ll become a full-fledged Jedi like Yoda was.
Like Yoda, very little has been revealed about Grogu’s past apart from he was training to be a Jedi when the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith took place.
He only escaped because a Jedi rescued him from the temple before the corrupted clones reached him, as explained in The Mandalorian Season 3.
What we do know is he’s apparently around 50 years old, which has spawned a long list of other questions, specifically about how fast or slow his species ages.

“Grogu's age doesn't fit,” began one Star Wars fan on Reddit. “If Grogu is supposed to be 50-ish years old, and Yoda started teaching other Jedi at 100 years old, there's something strange going on with the development curve."
“With Grogu's age being 50, that means he should be halfway to an age capable of teaching, even acknowledging that Yoda was an extremely gifted Jedi capable of teaching at what his species might consider a young age.”
The user went on to explain that unless Grogu gets a crazy growth spurt sometime in the next 50 years, it doesn’t make sense for him to be so young, for his species anyway.
Other fans have pointed out that different species reach maturity at different rates, like how animals can become adults much faster than humans can.

Perhaps Grogu’s ageing will start to speed up when he gets around the 70 year old mark, upon which he’ll start to resemble Yoda more in terms of appearance, power and personality.
Personally, I’m not fussed about Grogu becoming an adult, I’m looking forward to seeing him go through his rebellious teen years and how his new dad Din Djarin will handle it.
