Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith is set to return to cinemas in April to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

I’m not afraid to say that it’s my favourite of all the Star Wars films, although I won’t go as far as saying it’s the best; I’m too afraid of The Empire Strikes Back fans.

But there’s a lot to love about this instalment, even if it did receive some slack following its original release - although not quite as much as The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones did.

The execution of Order 66, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s epic duel with General Grievous, the ‘birth’ of Darth Vader, Obi-Wan and Anakin’s battle on Mustafar … this film is packed with iconic moments.

Yes, Padmé was reduced to melodrama - a damned shame considering Natalie Portman was easily one of the best things about the preceding two films - and there’s that weird ol’ scene where Palpatine easily deals with four Jedi but I can happily brush those aside.

It’s hard to believe that the film was released 20 years ago, but that’s the truth.

And so, on 25 April, both in the US and international territories, Revenge of the Sith will be returning to cinemas for one week only.

ICYMI: Andor has dropped the trailer for its upcoming second season.

If you manage to find Revenge of the Sith running at your local 4DX cinema, you’ll get to experience the film with “high-tech motion chairs that sync with over 21 effects, all designed to complement the narrative of the film”.

Needless to say, Star Wars fans are positively hyped.

“We are going to witness PEAK Star Wars on the big screen again,” wrote Twitter user starwarstuff, referencing the duel on Mustafar.

“I’ll be there with my cloak and lightsaber like a f**king child, idc,” added bbycloak.

“The duel on Mustafar is gonna hit so hard in theatres man,” wrote siryungyul. “Can’t wait to watch the masterclass performances of Hayden Christensen and Evan McGregor again. Anakin vs Obi-Wan battling it out is peak cinema, Revenge of the Sith is the GOAT film.”

April is set to be a jam packed month for Star Wars.

Alongside the re-release of Revenge of the Sith, it’ll also bring us Star Wars Celebration from 18 to 20 of the month - an event that always delivers exciting new announcements.

Andor’s second season debuts on 22 April too, with it releasing three episodes a week over four weeks, with the second batch landing on 29 April.

We’re feasting well.
