Star Wars fans hyped as Darth Plagueis’ true form revealed

One could call it unnatural

Darth Plagueis’ terrifying design for the cancelled The Acolyte Season 2 is haunting, and it’s a shame we’ll never see it realised.

The tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise isn’t a story the Jedi would teach you, and it’s not one Disney will teach you either apparently.

Darth Plagueis made his first live-action appearance at the end of Star Wars: The Acolyte, which won’t be getting a second season.

The Sith lord was first mentioned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith in a story recited to Anakin by Palpatine, and it’s been expanded upon in various novels and comics over the years.

Fans have wanted to see the Star Wars character in live-action for years, and finally got it in The Acolyte’s final episode where he can be seen lurking in the shadows.

Concept art has given us a closer look at him, including him wielding a lightsaber which we didn’t see in the show.

He looks menacing, and fans loved the sneak-peek even though it’ll never see the light of day as far as the TV show is concerned.

“These look awesome, but I’m glad they made him look a little more f****d up and spooky in the show. His final design is amazing,” said one fan.

While The Acolyte probably won’t get a second season, it doesn’t mean the character is gone entirely, as there’s a chance he’ll appear in another project later down the line.

Personally, I think it’d make the most sense for him to be adapted into a three episode story for a Star Wars: Tales Of The Sith show, by the same team that made Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its subsequent spin-offs.

It’s a story that really needs to be told, and if Disney is reluctant to do it in live-action, animation makes the most sense.
