Pokémon fans are roasting a big reveal of what happens inside a Poké Ball, which has seemingly gone under the radar for many.

For years, I’ve felt rather sorry for Pokémon who may spend god knows how long, cramped up inside a Poké Ball of darkness, only to be let free to fight and recaptured once a duel is over.

However, it seems I never had much of a reason to feel sorry for a Pokémon inside a Poké Ball after all. Well, unless they’re being held against their will, and if that’s the case, someone needs to call Liam Neeson ASAP!

“I like how we were told what it’s like inside a Poké Ball, and no one is talking about it,” said Redditor kaloyan-Ivanov.

“In an episode of Pokémon Horizons, we saw Nidothing, and in that episode, Dot(Nidothing) was talking about the Poké Ball, and it showed Quaxly inside of a luxury ball.”

“It was a luxurious apartment made specifically for Quaxly's species,” they continued. “So, from that, we can just deduce that a normal Poké Ball is just a normal apartment personalised for a Pokémon, and a Great Ball is just a slightly better apartment and so on.”

It’s fair to say that the Reddit thread took this revelation in jest, especially as there seems to be an obvious social status with Pokémon.

“I live in a low-income Poké Ball environment,” replied Dennis_Ryan_Lynch with Daowg adding, “Red Balls are the Section 8 hood apartments of Poké Ball’s.”

“The inside of a beast ball must be terrifying,” exclaimed another Reddit user.

However, as some other Reddit users have made us aware, we should not take the events in Pokémon Horizons as gospel.

“We've been shown the inside of Poké Balls like eight times, and every time it's different. Don't take what Horizons has shown as absolute canon,” explained TheFierceDeity.

So maybe Pokémon are crammed into darkness after all. No Pokémon deserves that. Well, other than Chansey, his smug face irritates me.
