Our favourite boys are back and perhaps not in the way you would first expect.

In recent years, Spider-Man and Venom/Eddie Brock have become cornerstones of the Marvel Universe thanks to an influx of movies and comic books.

Now it seems as though they are about to team up, or well go head-to-head, in a Multiversal Clash.

Check out the final trailer for the upcoming Venom: The Last Dance below!

Announced at the recent New York Comic Con, the Spider-Verse and Venomverse will collide in a highly-anticipated event taking place next year.

Titled Spider-Verse vs Venomverse, it will see characters from both franchises go up against each other in an epic battle.

Taking place in May 2025, the event was announced by senior Editor Jordan D. White, current Venom writer Al Ewing, and Charles Soule.

It will follow on from the Spider-Verse which kicked off in 2014 with The Amazing Spider-Man by Dan Slott and Oliver Coipel.

This story saw almost every variant of Spider-People that have featured in related media over the last half a century come together to fend off an attack from Morlun and his family, known as the Inheritors.

This featured our first look at now much-loved characters such as Spider-Gwen and Miguel O’Hara.

The series wrapped up with the 2022-2023 comic book storyline known as End of the Spider-Verse which went on to become the inspiration behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequels as well as Spider-Man: No Way Home and the final seasons of the animated show, Ultimate Spider-Man.

So quite an impressive history to say the least.

As for the Venomverse, it kicked off as a 2017 comic book story that starred Venom himself and Multiverse versions of some other familiar faces.

As well as making Venom a key feature in the MCU, the story also introduced a new alien race known as the Poisons which were ultimately mentioned in a mid-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

In the scene, Venom reveals to Eddie that they have “hive knowledge across universes”.

This refers to the concept of a Venomised Gwenpool which was first mentioned in Edge of Venomverse.

Now it seems as though all of these tidbits will be featured in the Marvel event taking place next year.

So if you are a fan of the Spider-Verse and best boy Venom, then this is not one to miss out on.
