Spider-Man quietly teased for Venom: The Last Dance

Make it happen!

It seems that a Spider-Man appearance has been teased for Venom: The Last Dance by Tom Hardy.

Discounting the version of Eddie Brock that was portrayed in the 2007 Spider-Man 3 movie, fans have been eager to see the friendly neighbourhood hero and Venom go toe-to-toe in recent years.

Check out the Venom: The Last Dance trailer below!

“Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance,” reads the synopsis of Venom: The Last Dance.

To be honest, Spider-Man and Venom crossing paths has been teased in the movies starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock already as well as in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the latest tease has come from the actor himself.

In a video making the social media rounds by content creator Sala 7, during a Q&A session in Mexico, Tom Hardy was asked whether we might see Peter Parker in what is apparently the last movie of this Venom trilogy.

Tom Hardy replied: “There are always possibilities.”

Understandably, Tom Hardy is being deliberately vague because, for starters, he won't want to upset those in charge of the Venom: The Last Dance by spoiling a major reveal for fans.

This tease could mean nothing but the cheeky grin on Tom Hardy’s face as he answers the question might say otherwise. I guess, only time will tell.

If this is the end of Tom Hardy’s version of Eddie Brock/Venom, it will be sad to say goodbye. Whatever you may think of this Venom trilogy, it’s hard to dispute that at the very least, Tom Hardy has portrayed the characters very well and it would be a shame to cut it short of a proper feud with Spider-Man.

Of course, the nature of the symbiote is that it can take control of just about whomever it wants, so it can always find a new suitable host. Venom: The Last Dance arrives in cinemas later this month on 25 October.
