Spider-Man fans losing their minds over new trailer

Time for a new Spider-Man adventure

Amazon has released the latest trailer for the new Spider-Man TV show Spider-Noir, based on the Spider-Noir character who many first saw in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The character was voiced by Nic Cage, who is now playing the role in a live-action, black and white adventure series for Amazon.

We saw Spider-Noir in the Spider-Verse originally.

The short trailer, showcased on Twitter, has got fans talking, and while some of it is positive, many are confused and puzzled by what’s on display.

The trailer doesn’t show a great deal, but there’s a bit of action, some dramatic shots shrouded in darkness, and Nic Cage in the Spidey suit.

It’s an impressive first look at something unique from Marvel and Sony, with an artistic flair, but not everyone is convinced.

“Looks amazing, but I doubt many can stomach a black and white series,” comments one Twitter user.

Another Marvel fan seems pleased with what they saw, saying, “Ok. Kinda excited for this.”

The show appears to be taking fans in a new direction, leaving behind the bombastic action and CGI for a more grounded detective show.

Of course, it will still have some Spider-Man action in there, and one fan notes, “This has the potential to be so badass.”

It’s intriguing to see how many people were unaware that Nic Cage even voiced Spider-Noir in the Spider-Verse films, so this new show comes as a huge shock to them.

Thankfully, there’s plenty of excitement for the show, with fans saying, “This is going to be sick!” or exclaiming, “I didn't know we needed this!”

The show debuts in 2026, and that wait is going to feel agonising.

With the production and star power, hopefully we’re onto a winner here, and one fan thinks so, saying, “This gonna be the best Spider thing Sony does without Marvel's help.”
