Although we do know that Spider-Man 4 is on the way, there is not much else available in the way of information about the highly-anticipated superhero sequel.

We know that it will be released at some point and that Tom Holland will be reprising his role as Spider-Man, but the rest consists of rumours and speculation.

Check out a clip from Spider-Man: No Way Home below!

It has been almost three-years since Spider-Man: No Way Home hit cinemas and fans are eager to see the next instalment in the saga.

The movie was a hit and that was due in part to Holland being joined by previous Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Getting the three web-slingers together in one movie was beyond amazing for Marvel fans so it is no wonder that many want the same to happen for Spider-Man 4.

Luckily, Garfield has neither confirmed nor denied his involvement in the current project.

Talking on The Happy Sad Confused podcast recently, Garfield was quizzed about a possible return.

“Yeah, of course, your assumption is not unfounded.” Garfield smirked.

“If I was in your position, I can imagine going, ‘Yeah, he’s probably had some conversations,’ too, yeah.”

He continued: “I also understand that question as well. I also understand in your position you’re going to be wondering, because it was such a success, that you’d go, ‘Well they must be talking about it.’ I could imagine how you imagine that to be true.”

Garfield has previously revealed that he has loved Spider-Man since he was three-years-old so we can imagine if the writers want him back, he will happily make a return.

I guess only time will tell. The fact that he won't deny the rumour is interesting to note.

As for Spider-Man 4, its release date is seemingly a lot closer than we think according to recent reports.

Luckily, with so many Marvel projects in the pipeline, we are not going to be short of things to watch for the next few years.
