Despite Marvel not having announced an official release date for it yet, rumours surrounding Spider-Man 4 are kicking up a notch.
Reportedly in production since No Way Home premiered at the end of 2021, Spider-Man 4 is the highly-anticipated sequel in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man saga.

Other than confirming that Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker and that the movie will release in the future, that is all we know about Spider-Man 4 so far.
However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t interesting leaks and rumours circulating the internet.
That includes a recent one from MyTimeToShineHello who recently took to Twitter to share a potential plot detail about the upcoming movie.
“Spider-Man 4 begins filming in the UK at the end of May 2025, and they're casting a new female lead as well as a new male lead to serve as a foil for Peter,” the Tweet reads.
Who the new male and female lead may be is still a mystery but considering Holland’s Spider-Man received something of a factory reset the last time we saw him, it is safe to say that he is almost starting from scratch.
It is unclear if this female character will be a new love interest for Peter but with many fans still keeping their fingers crossed for Zendaya’s return as MJ, this would not be the best of ideas for Marvel and Sony.
As a result, fans are divided over the news and took to the comments to share their thoughts.
“We’re getting Gwen & Harry!” One fan mused, referring to Gwen Stacey and Harry Osborn.
Another agreed, saying: “Either Harry Osborn and Gwen Stacy, or Felicia and Miles Morales.”
Although another fan had a different idea entirely when they said: “Am I the only one who would much rather see a legit The Amazing Spider-Man 3, starring Andrew Garfield?”
Either way, with Spider-Man 4 yet to receive an official release date, it may still be a while before we see these new faces star alongside Holland himself.
