MCU's X-Men live-action team line-up is off to a good start

The MCU will reportedly be introducing some truly iconic X-Men into the first live-action roster, and I hope to God it actually happens.

While The Avengers are pretty cut and dry when it comes to rosters - for example, you’d always have a Captain America on the team - the X-Men are a bit more flexible in who gets featured.

X-Men ‘97 boasted a classic line-up that’ll be hard to beat in live-action, unless it adapts it completely.

While we don’t know who exactly will be on our MCU X-Men team, there’s a good chance we’ll have Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine again, along with Beast since we saw him in the post-credit scene of The Marvels.

As for who else, DanielRPK has said Gambit and Kitty Pryde will star on the main roster and I’m praying to whatever deity I need for it to actually happen.

Gambit was a real highlight in Deadpool & Wolverine, played by Channing Tatum who’d been wanting to portray the character years prior.

Kitty Pryde has also appeared in the Fox X-Men films, and is also a beloved character in the comics.

With that in mind, it'd only make sense for Marvel Studios to want to include them on the MCU X-Men roster, but take it with a pinch of salt as at the time of writing, they’re just rumours.

As for who else could make an appearance, some safe bets are Charles Xavier, Cyclops and Jean Grey, and then you, of course, have to think about the villains like Magneto and Mystique.

That’s if Marvel Studios wants to follow a more traditional X-Men storyline or whether it wants to push the boat out and do its own thing.

Either way, if Gambit and Kitty Pryde are there, I’d be happy and I know a lot of other fans would be as well.
