For some time now, Marvel fans have believed that the events of Avengers: DOOMSDAY and Avengers: Secret Wars would act as the bookend to the MCU as we know, bringing on a reboot of sorts.
While this may be the case for the X-Men we have known and loved, it’s hard to see Marvel pivoting away from the stars who made them the juggernaut they are.
This hasn’t stopped the audience fancasting a possible new team based on the heroes we’ve had for well over a decade.

One brave fan decided to lay out their choices for a new cast, which included all the Avengers members plus many other big heroes in the MCU.
The thread on Reddit has other fans roasting the choices made, and gently poking fun at the selection.
Among the stars chosen, Randonanon4774 chose Ella Purnell to play The Wasp, Damson Idris to step up as Black Panther, and Daniel Radcliffe to Hulk out as Bruce Banner and his alter-ego The Hulk.
“Out of the kitchen. Never cook again,” commented FreshStarter000.

In reply to this, Bored-Game agreed, saying, “Naw, this is a prime example of how to cook… without any seasoning.”
Some of the choices aren’t that bad, though many of the options are all very young, or would play younger versions of the heroes.
This would prevent any older, worn down, versions able to tell new stories, this isn’t lost on many users, with one noting, “Too young, hardly any general public recognition except a few of them.”
While so many are poking fun, or downright slating the options given, one Redditor has faith, replying, “Thank you for doing something different, the amount of fan casts I see on here which is just the same stuff over and over again or clearly stolen from websites is shocking. Ella Purnell as Wasp great shout.”
