MCU's new Wolverine quietly teases Avengers team-up

Although it has been joked that Hugh Jackman will be playing Wolverine until his last breath, one of the MCU’s newest stars may just have something to say about that.

Reprising her role as Laura/Wolverine/X-23 in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Dafne Keen is one of the newest faces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Check out the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine below!

Making her debut in 2017’s Logan as the young mutant Laura, Keen went on to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the greats in Deadpool & Wolverine so it is perhaps no wonder that her story is far from over.

With many fans wanting her to return as the young Wolverine in future projects, it seems as though Keen will only return on one condition.

Luckily, with the MCU going all out with its Multiverse theory in recent years, anything is possible and we may just see Keen’s demands get rewarded.

In an interview with The Direct’s Russ Milheim at the Saturn Awards in Los Angeles earlier this week, the actor spoke about her future as X-23.

"I would like to see her in a fun team-up. I would also love to see Laura in smaller stories as well.

I enjoyed playing her in Logan, which was much more grittier. So that's fun...But I'd also be very, very open to a big whole action fight team up with the Avengers."

Not only that but she also stated that she would be “really happy” if she could continue to work alongside Jackman’s Wolverine for future projects.

With the rumours that there would be a cast “reset” after the events of Avengers: Secret Wars, The Direct asked Keen how she would feel if she had to become the main Wolverine in the MCU.

"Well, can we both [Laura and Logan] be there? Yeah? OK, good. If we're both there, I'd be really happy…

Honestly, anything that involves Laura, I'd be down to do."

It seems as though Keen is just getting started when it comes to playing Laura/Wolverine/X-23 and I, for one, can’t wait to see what the future holds.
