Earlier this week saw Marvel show us a bunch of chairs for multiple hours as a way of finally revealing which actors would be starring in the highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday next year.

Although it was perhaps the worst reveal of all time and made me never want to see a chair again, it is finally confirmed to us who the main characters will be in the first Avengers movie since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Check out the official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps below!

Many we already knew but some came as a surprise but with our new Fantastic Four kicking off Marvel’s Phase Six in July with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it made sense that they would also be appearing in Doomsday.

Consisting of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, our new family of superheroes will be a brand-new addition to the MCU but according to a recent report, First Steps may also feature a cameo from another big name.

Set in its own reality during a retro-futuristic 1960’s New York, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will act as a reboot to the original movies.

The original movies which, of course, starred Chris Evans as the Human Torch.

Now according to Marvel insider MyTimeToShineH, Evans will appear in First Steps.

Evans took on the role of the Human Torch in 2005’s Fantastic Four and even reprised his role as Johnny Storm in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine.

Now after hanging up his shield as Captain America, it seems as though the actor is returning to his original superhero roots but at the time of writing, we do not yet know who he will appear as in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Could he be some sort of variant of the Human Torch or even a variant of Captain America?

“Classic variants would be a fun little cameo. Have him in the 60s suit,” one user said over on r/LeaksAndRumours.

Another said: “I need Evans to have a scene where Johnny meets Steve.”

With the MCU exploring the Multiverse theory, anything is possible but luckily, we have just a few months left until we find out.
