Marvel has made a new MCU announcement and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps was the last MCU film to grace the big screen, and I think it’s safe to say we all enjoyed it.

While some aspects of the film may have played it a little too safe, the film had some decent performances, shiny special effects, and an exciting teaser for Avengers: Doomsday. It’s very much a great film to begin closing off the multiverse saga of the series.

Still, we’ve got a little over a year until we get to see that cliffhanger pay off. In the meantime, however, a new announcement from Marvel may help us to get in the mood.

Marvel announces The Fantastic Four: First Steps Disney Plus release date

Marvel has announced that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be coming to Disney Plus on 5th November, 2025. So if you’ve been aching to rewatch the film in the months since it was released in cinemas, you’ll soon be able to watch it on the comfy sofa.

It’ll be available with all subscriptions to the streaming service, and is likely going to arrive with a few extras and alternative viewing options as some Marvel movies have done in the past.

It’ll be a good reason to revisit this in the next few months as hype builds up for Avengers: Doomsday, which is where the main cast of the film will reunite for their next adventure.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps came out back in July and marked the titular team’s debut in the MCU. The film is set in an alternate 1960s where the team are faced with a cosmic force in the form of Galactus, who is threatening to devour the Earth.

Attempts have been made in the past to adapt the Fantastic Four to the big screen, though none have really proved successful. Prior to this, there was a cancelled film in 1994, two films in the same continuity released between 2005 and 2007, and another reboot in 2015.

In terms of future MCU projects prior to Avengers: Doomsday, however, we still have Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing in July.

There are also several TV series in development, with Wonder Man kicking off in January 2026 and closely followed by Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 in March. Finally, VisionQuest airs in late 2026, along with the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
