MCU fans praise 'top notch' Hulk recast

This would be an interesting casting

With plans for Marvel Studios to introduce a soft reboot for some of its best superheroes, fans have been speculating over the best actors to take on these iconic roles.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been responsible for all manner of iconic superheroes over the past 15-years.

After all, we have had Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, to name but a few.

It is the latter that is subject to discussion recently as user damianwqyne over on r/Fancast has put together a list of the actors they would like to see take on some of the iconic superhero roles when the MCU receives its soft reboot.

However, it is their Bruce Banner fancast that has received the praise of fellow Marvel fans.

The user reveals that they would like to see actor Penn Badgley take on the role of a younger Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

Badgley is best known for his role in Netflix’s You as well as Gossip Girl so this would definitely make a change.

However, it seems as though fans fully support this idea.

“Penn Badgley as Bruce Banner is top notch casting,” the top comment reads.

Another user agreed, adding, “Penn Badgley as Bruce Banner is something I never knew I wanted to see but I need it NOW.”

Of course, this is mere fancasting but the user went on to drop some names into the ring for some of the Hulk’s Avenger friends.

This includes Ethan Peck as Tony Stark, Scott Eastwood as Steve Rogers, Taron Edgerton as Clint Barton, Damon Idris as T’Challa, Callum Turner as Hank Pym, Jessica Henwick as Janet Van Dyne, Gratiela Brancusi as Wanda Maximoff, and Ivana Sakhno as Natasha Romanoff.

This would be an interesting cast to say the least and who knows? Maybe this user’s fancast may come to life in the upcoming years of the MCU.
