Marvel fans lose it after Doctor Strange 3 has been officially confirmed for the MCU. Rejoice!

Even though his powers have been nerfed somewhat (like many MCU characters), Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful and popular superheroes in the world of Marvel cinematic adaptations. So it should come as no surprise that fans are hyped following subtle news of the Doctor Strange 3 confirmation.

Check out the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer below!

Without giving too much away, 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness left us on one hell of a cliffhanger after the former Sorcerer Supreme (at least in the MCU) dabbled with the Darkhold one too many times before his services were called upon by another powerful entity.

After a spell of no news, there was a point following the ending of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness leaving us on such an enticing cliffhanger, that fans were concerned we might not get a resolution.

However, many of those concerns should be squashed because we now know we're finally getting the follow-up we’ve been patiently waiting for.

In a tweet from the Twitter account DiscussingFilm, news of the pending arrival of Doctor Strange 3 was provided by an article from Variety along with news that the good Dr will play a big role in Avengers: Doomsday.

After confirming that Doctor Strange will be in Avengers: Doomsday, Benedict Cumberbatch went on to say that his character is not only “quite central” in upcoming MCU stories but also teased that he will return in a third standalone movie but remained quiet before revealing details not yet meant to be known.

Hopefully, now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag, Marvel and Disney will release official details on Doctor Strange 3 in the coming months.

MCU Phase Five is nearing its end before the Multiverse Saga goes into full swing. The next movie is Captain America: Brave New World on 14 February and will conclude with Thunderbolts* on 2 May 2025.
