Who knows when we’re going to see the third instalment of the Black Panther franchise, but it’s likely coming soon, and if Marvel wants to take advantage of the Ryan Coogler love, they should act fast.
One thing we do know about the third film, which will wrap up Coogler’s trilogy, is that it will star Hollywood legend Denzel Washington, who makes his MCU debut.
We don’t know who Washington will be playing from the Marvel universe, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation and excitement from fans.
Discussion on Reddit is flowing and among the theories is genuine love and joy for this casting choice.

“He has been my dream casting for Achebe since Black Panther was announced!” exclaimed cheesyry.
This would be genius casting, as we all know Denzel can play sinister and playful, and Achebe would be a legitimate threat without all the multiverse nonsense or bonkers Marvel meta-storytelling.
Achebe is considered by many to be akin to the Joker for Batman, and was inspired by the DC villain. He is a sadistic loner hell bent on causing as much chaos as possible.
Cardinal_and_Plum notes, “They had mentioned some more horror angles somewhere and he's one of the more prominent Black Panther villains that fits that bill. I think Denzel could kill it too.”
Given the connection, it’s a little bittersweet that Denzel steps in now, as one fan points out, “I would have loved to have seen him act with/opposite of Chadwick Boseman.”
We’ll have to wait and see who he will be playing, but you better believe if he brings his A-game, it’s going to be a knockout instalment.
