Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the best movies of 2024 as the latest Marvel movie saw two fan-favourite characters come together to cause a whole lot of chaos.

Sitting on top of the box-office for consecutive weeks, Deadpool & Wolverine was a hit with fans praising the duo consisting of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, as well as the rest of its star-studded cast.

Check out the official trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine below!

Welcoming back Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Dafne Keen as Laura, the Marvel movie ticked all of the boxes for old-school fans but there was one appearance that shocked them more than most.

None other than Thor himself.

Or was it?

Appearing in a split-second clip that saw the God of Thunder cradling a dying Deadpool in an alternate timeline, fans thought that Chris Hemsworth had come back for a brief cameo.

However, it would seem as though it was not Hemsworth after all and our Thor had been replaced before our very eyes.

In a behind-the-scenes image of the “Why was Thor crying?” sequence in Deadpool & Wolverine, we can see Reynolds being cradled by an unknown man wearing CGI gear.

So it would seem as though Hemsworth did not appear on set at all.

As you can imagine, this news shocked fans and they took to the comments of the DiscussingFilm post to share their thoughts.

“You’re telling me that wasn’t Thor the whole time”, user foundmykey complained.

Another fan was less than pleased, admitting, “CGI is killing cinema.”

Although this news was shocking, it still did not explain why Thor was crying and cradling a dying Deadpool.

Not only that but it seems as though even Hemsworth does not have the answers considering he was not even present.
