An insider claims that Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror has been recast without many of us knowing.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe had big plans for Jonathan Majors and his version of Kang the Conqueror who we were introduced to in the Loki series on Disney Plus. Yet, following allegations of domestic abuse against an ex-girlfriend and later being sentenced, the MCU had to prepare for a new big bad following in the footsteps of Thanos.

After being introduced in season one of Loki, then playing a more prominent role in season two and not to mention, being the big bad in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel and Disney will have their work cut out whether it introduces a new character or recasts the role of Kang the Conqueror.

Marvel and Disney have been quiet on any decision that may or may not have been made, but entertainment insider DanielRPK claims via a paywalled Patreon that Marvel Studios has “officially” found a replacement to play Kang the Conqueror.

At this time, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt, but this rumour will no doubt result in heavy speculation as to who will take up the role of the MCU’s next big villain. However, one name that we can maybe rule out is John Boyega, who apparently has no interest in playing Kang the Conqueror.

That being said, even if Jonathan Boyega has taken up the role, he wouldn't say either way, until an official announcement is made by either Marvel Studios or Disney, but given the importance of the MCU, this is a situation that all parties would like to resolve ASAP.

Could we see the new Kang the Conqueror in a post-credit scene in Deadpool & Wolverine, a movie released in cinemas this week which has a major focus on multiverses? Only time will tell.

It’s probably unlikely that the new Kang the Conqueror reveal will happen so soon, and perhaps a more likely scenario could be Captain America: Brave New World which arrives in cinemas on 14 February 2025.
