The man himself, Ryan Reynolds, has given Marvel’s next Deadpool actor his official blessing… in the most Ryan Reynolds way possible.
Great news! There’s a new Deadpool game coming out. Bad news! Deadpool isn’t being voiced by Ryan Reynolds.
But wait, back to the great news! Neil Patrick Harris is voicing Wade Wilson this time around, and Reynolds has already given him the Deadpool seal of approval.

As revealed at Summer Games Fest last Friday, Marvel's Deadpool VR is a collaborative project between Twisted Pixel, Oculus Studios and Marvel Games, set to release in 2025 on the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.
In a video over on Ryan Reynolds' official YouTube channel, the MCU actor decided to tease Neil Patrick Harris for his breakout role as Doogie Howser in the 1989 TV series Doogie Howser, M.D. (while simultaneously promoting the upcoming title).
Over in the comments on the r/OculusQuest subreddit, users are mostly just confused as to why Harris will be taking over the role when Reynolds seems so keen to be involved.
“Not gonna lie, this ad makes me wonder why they didn’t just have RR do the game’s VO…” commented user Doggoonewild.

“Totally fine with NOH rolling with it just funny that RR is still involved.”
“He probably did cost less for VO but they both only do things they really want to do”, replied user mromutt.
“I would lean more towards RR wasnt able to do the VO otherwise he wouldn't have done the trailer. But also NPH shares the same type of humor so I think hes going to nail this haha.”
Probably the weirdest part of this send-up is the appearance of Robyn Lively, because I had no idea that she is Blake Lively’s older sister.

In case you’re not old like me and unfamiliar with the lore here, Robyn Lively played Neil Patrick Harris’ girlfriend in Doogie Howser, M.D…. and Blake Lively is obviously Ryan Reynolds real life wife. What an odd little connection.
