Marvel fans realise MCU villain with the biggest kill count isn't who we thought

Who do you think has the highest kill count in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Done? Great. I’d have put my money on Thanos but I’d have been totally wrong to do so.

Thanos is arguably the MCU’s greatest villain to date in terms of entertainment value, but he’s seemingly not the most ferocious.

After all, all of those obliterated in The Snap did actually come back.

Don’t get me wrong, Thanos still has a high kill count but it’s seemingly exceeded by two other individuals.

It’s actually the rather lacklustre Kang who appears to have secured the top spot.

How? Janet van Dyne reveals that Kang has decimated countless timelines, not just universes but the entire timeline of a universe.

That easily exceeds Thanos’ tally.

It’s a shame that the character of Kang somewhat failed in the MCU.

The character could’ve been recast following the allegations made against actor Jonathan Majors but it seems that Marvel executives decided it simply isn’t worth it.

I can see why.

Kang has immense potential, but I can’t say we’ve seen that tapped into.

From Kang The Conqueror to Victor Timely, none of the Kang variants experienced thus far in the MCU particularly packed a punch.

Their inclusion was supposed to get us hyped for an even greater iteration of the character and yet all they did was leave us tired and craving something new.

But let’s hop back to the kill count.

Reddit user tartarikamen suggests that Dormammu should be in second place, and they could be right.

Dormammu is known to have consumed a number of different dimensions which, again, will give him a pretty high kill count.

I’m left with one big question. Where is Doctor Doom going to rank on this list when Avengers: Secret Wars is said and done?
