Marvel is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to pumping out those projects and the latest rumour could mean the return of a highly-anticipated sequel.

In 2024 alone, Marvel has released three Disney+ shows: Echo, X-Men ‘97 and Agatha All Along as well as one feature film in the shape of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Check out the official trailer for season one of Hawkeye below!

Although it doesn’t seem like a lot, these projects have seen a lot more lore and characters added to the MCU and the next few years will be no different.

Which is why the latest rumour has hinted at the potential second season of Hawkeye.

First released in 2021, Hawkeye was a Disney+ show focusing on Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, who we had previously only seen in the Avengers series.

Played by Jeremy Renner, he was joined by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop as well as cameos from Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and Alaqua Cox as Echo.

The series did relatively well which is why Hawkeye finds itself as one of four upcoming physical releases.

Joining Loki, Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, Hawkeye will be part of the next batch of Disney+ titles to receive a physical edition steel book with a 4K UHD release.

This could mean nothing by itself but the steel book for Hawkeye reads: “The Complete First Season” which wouldn’t necessarily be needed unless a second season was on the cards.

Otherwise, it would have made sense for it to be called “The Complete Series” as seen with WandaVision and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

So how likely is Hawkeye season two?

Back in 2022, director Rhys Thomas said “you never know” when asked about a potential sequel but refused to go into any more detail.

However, earlier this year, it was reported that Hawkeye Season 2 was in active development.

So, what do we believe?

Either way, if you were a fan of season one, then this brand-new steel book is not one to miss out on when it goes on sale next month.
