Marvel's latest MCU outing quietly teased our new Hulk

Marvel's latest MCU outing quietly teased our new Hulk

The Young Avengers are filling out their ranks

Agatha All Along’s first two episodes have now debuted, and they’ve left me very excited for what’s to come.

This, of course, is the long-awaited WandaVision spin-off with the incredible returning Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.

In this latest journey, Agatha sets out to regain her powers after Wanda took them away with a spell during the conclusive events of WandaVision.

It’s a journey that’ll take her down the so-called Witches’ Road which features its fair share of trials.

If you’ve watched those opening episodes, then you may have spotted an interesting Easter egg teasing the arrival of a certain character.

If you’re not caught up, it might be a good time to bookmark this article for later.

Here we go. It appears as if a variation of Hulk may soon be arriving in the MCU.

Take a look at Agatha All Along in action below.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has steadily been introducing characters in the last couple of years that comic book fans will know as the Young Avengers.

So far, we’ve already had Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, and America Chavez, to name just a few.

If a certain tease in Agatha All Along episode two is anything to go by, they may soon be joined by Hulkling.

What makes me say this? Well, Joe Locke’s Teen - he doesn’t yet have a name - receives a call from someone called “boyf” on his phone.

His ringtone is Blackhand’s ‘On My Mind’, with the accompanying on-screen phone image showing a fellow teen.

This doesn’t immediately scream ‘teaser’ but it does when you take into account the theory that the unnamed Teen is an older version of Billy, Wanda’s son, known in the comic books as Wiccan.

If Locke’s character is revealed to be Wiccan, it stands to reason that the boyfriend who appears on the phone could be Teddy Altman - also known as Hulkling.

Hulkling is, if you don’t know, pretty much a younger take on Hulk.

Technically, the character is half-hulk, half-skrull but it’s far too early to say exactly what the logistics of the character will be should Agatha All Along really be introducing them to the MCU.

Given that Wiccan and Hulkling share a relationship in the comics though, this theory feels more than plausible.

The MCU hasn’t been discrete about its slow building of the Young Avengers. The ranks continue to be filled out.
