Marvel Comics has been with us for longer than most of us have been alive since it was founded in 1939 by Martin Goodman. Since that time, its universe has expanded beyond comics into movies, TV series, video games and much more.

It’s fair to say that since the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man (2008), the franchise has grown more popular than ever. What’s more, ever since the arrival of the Disney Plus streaming service in 2019, it has been an excellent platform to further expand the MCU outside of the silver screen with series such as Loki, WandaVision, and What If…? to name a few.

Check out the What If…? season two trailer below!

As reported by IGN, Marvel has announced a new Black Panther animated series coming to the Disney Plus streaming service with Eyes of Wakanda. The new animated series was announced during a special screening of What If…? season two. The reveal was said to be part of a reel that also included the previously announced X-Men ‘97 animated series as well as the renamed Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, previously called Spider-Man: Freshman Year, which will not star Tom Holland.

“Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artefacts. This is their story,” reads the official description of the upcoming Black Panther series. At this time, further details on Eyes of Wakanda are vague, but hopefully, Marvel and Disney will reveal it all soon with a glorious trailer and perhaps even a solid release date.

As for the immediate future, the second season of What If…? arrives on Disney Plus on 22 December, followed by Echo on 10 January 2024. Eyes of Wakanda is expected to premiere on Disney Plus at some point during 2024. We’ll keep you posted when we hear of any further details on the upcoming Black Panther series.
