It has been revealed that Lox Pratt will be playing Draco Malfoy and Johnny Flynn will play his father Lucius.
Pratt is a child actor best known for his role in Lord of the Flies and Flynn is a British actor and musician known for his roles in 2020’s Emma.
The pair will be joined by Katherine Parkinson who will portray a younger Molly Weasley and many will recognise her from The IT Crowd.
Some other casting announcements relate to some of Harry’s Hogwarts friends such as Seamus Finnigan who will be played by Leo Earley, Allesia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.

The Crown’s Bertie Cavel will also step into the role of the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge whilst Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby will star as Harry’s aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley.
It would seem that most of the main cast have now been announced which makes sense with filming set to begin in just a few months.
The HBO Harry Potter television adaptation is set to air in 2026 and will run for seven seasons with each season representing one of the original books.
Let us hope this new cast will live up to the previous.
