Plans for the HBO Harry Potter television adaptation are already in full swing with filming expected to begin in earnest this summer.
What we do know is that the television adaptation will follow the story of the Harry Potter book and movie series, with one season being dedicated to each book.
As a result, we can expect the show to run for seven seasons so its cast will play a very important role in bringing these characters to life for a second time, especially as they have very big shoes to fill.

So far we have received the official castings for Harry (Dominic McLaughlin), Hermione (Arabella Stanton), Ron (Alastair Stout), Dumbledore (John Lithgow), Professor McGonagall (Janet McTeer), Snape (Paapa Essiedu), Hagrid (Nick Frost), Filch (Paul Whitehouse), and Quirrell (Luke Thallon).
However, there is still a whole host of characters that we don’t yet have a face for but that being said, a recent rumour could have revealed our Molly Weasley.
Portrayed by the incredible Julie Walters in the Harry Potter movie series, Molly Weasley plays a pivotal role as the matriarch of the Weasley family and a surrogate mother for Harry himself.
As a result, this rumoured actor has a lot to live up to.

According to one user over on r/HarryPotteronHBO, they are a part of a Discord group full of television industry insiders and they believe that Jessica Hynes may take on the role of Molly Weasley alongside Peter Capaldi who could star as Olivander.
As for Hynes, she is perhaps best known for her roles in Shaun of the Dead, Nativity 2, and more recently, Death of a Unicorn.
She definitely looks the part of a younger Molly but it remains to be seen if this rumour has any weight to it.
It is definitely worth taking with a pinch of salt though.

As mentioned, the HBO Harry Potter adaptation begins filming in just a matter of months so it will not be long before we have that official cast list.
