Tobey Maguire Spotted In 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Teaser

Tobey Maguire Spotted In 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Teaser

He'll put some dirt in your eye

At this point there can't be anyone left who isn't totally convinced that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are coming back for Spider-Man: No Way Home, right?

I know that everyone involved with the film has denied it, but just look at the last few weeks! Returning villains from the Maguire and Garfield movies was one thing, but did you see the newest trailer? Not only does Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) specifically reference multiple Spider-Men, we also see Lizard (Rhys Ifans) getting punched by thin air - a moment that strongly suggests a character was digitally wiped from the teaser. And who do you think that character would be, if not another Spider-Man?

Take a look at the latest Spidey trailer below:

We've now had what looks to be another accidental Spider-leak, and this one might be the strangest yet. A flyer for Barkbox, of all thins, appears to have inadvertently given us a peek at Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man in action.

Barkbox is a monthly subscription service for pet toys, and the company recently teamed up with Marvel and Sony for a special Spider-Man themed box. As spotted by one Twitter user, Maguire's Spidey can be seen hiding on the promotional material for this partnership.

Take a look for yourself below!

The raised webbing. The triangular eyes. This is unmistakably the suit from the original Sam Raimi trilogy. The fact this appeared on a promotion for an official partnership with Marvel and Sony is definitely pretty suspicious too, no?

While there's a good chance this could be nothing more than a simple case of a designer reusing old assets and accidentally forgetting to remove the older Spidey, it seems a little weird that he'd be there at all. I guess we'll find out for sure what's going on when No Way Home arrives on December 15.
