This Skyrim X Call Of Duty mod is the greatest, maddest thing I've ever seen

An outrageous Call Of Duty mod has made its way onto Skyrim: Special Edition, giving the Dragonborn access to functional guns.

That’s right, Dragonborns can now lay down their swords, axes and bows, in exchange for SMGs, rifles and even a rocket launcher, perfect for blasting dragons out of the sky and filling bandits with lead. You know what they say, never bring a dagger to a gunfight.

Simply titled the “Call Of Duty- Skyrim”, created by MixedMartialArtist, the mod adds 12 fully-functional firearms to the land of Skyrim. Choices include two submachine guns, two light machine guns, an assault rifle, two bolt-action rifles, two semi-auto rifles, and of course, the rocket launcher.

That’s quite a selection, and they’re incredibly effective too. Skyrim players that favour ranged attacks are limited to bows and crossbows, which can be incredibly slow to fire, and can easily miss in heated encounters. Gunning down a troll with a rifle is definitely a lot more fun, and makes the player more dangerous than ever.

Every weapon is unique, in the sense they have their own damage output, recoil, magazine size and more. You can even look down at the iron sights for precision aiming. For added immersion, each weapon has reduced movement speed depending on how heavy the gun is. For instance, light-machine guns hardly have an effect on speeds, whereas the rocket launcher significantly slows you down since it’s massive.

Players can download the Call Of Duty mod from Nexus, and it’s also available in the VR version of Skyrim too.

Skyrim modders have been going wild recently, especially since there’s still no update on the highly-anticipated follow-up The Elder Scrolls: VI. Modders have made a range of creations, such as complete visual overhauls, brand new storylines, including a quest where you take down a Thalmor incursion, and last but not least, NPCs that can create their own dialogue through ChatGPT.
