A new game inspired by The Witcher has been announced, and best of all, it can be played with friends.
Inspired by the Andrzej Sapkowski novels, developed by CD Projekt RED, The Witcher series has had somewhat of a unique rise in the video game world.
Despite the first game in the series being released on PC in 2007 (which is getting an Unreal Engine 5 remake by the way), The Witcher series never really caught on until the second game was released in 2011.
To be fair, the original game wasn't good to begin with, and it’s not aged well. However, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was a much better game when it initially launched on PC, and garnered more fans when it was released on Xbox 360 the following year.

When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in 2015, it truly became mainstream, largely because it’s one of the best fantasy RPGs of all time, and now, fans are looking forward to the arrival of The Witcher 4.
But before The Witcher remake and The Witcher 4 grace us with their presence, we have that aforementioned adventure that can be played with friends, to look forward to.
The new release in question is the tabletop board game from Go on Board called The Witcher: Legacy, developed in collaboration with CD Projekt RED.

The Witcher: Legacy is a story-driven adventure that can be played on your own or with four friends for some co-op, monster-slaying action. It features branching storylines, so no playthrough should be the same.

“The game takes place in the kingdom of Kaedwen, where players will explore vast lands, battle monsters, train their skills, and manage limited resources — all the while seeking to unravel a conspiracy that threatens the very existence of witchers,” reads the description of the game.
A crowdfunding campaign for The Witcher: Legacy will go live on Gamefound soon, and those who follow the campaign before it launches will be gifted with a free and exclusive Gorgon monster miniature.
The launch date for the crowdfunding campaign hasn't been announced at the time of writing, but if you follow The Witcher: Legacy on Gamefound, you will also receive email updates to keep you posted.
