The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is without a doubt one of the best games of all-time with plenty of secrets to uncover.

Geralt might be busy saving the world and slaying monsters but as any gamer would know there’s always time for a side quest, or a few rounds of gwent.

During Geralt’s trials and tribulations players might come across a very ominous looking cave, with pools of blood surrounding the entrance along with several skeletons and bones.

Comedy fans will undoubtedly recognise the gory scene though, as it’s a direct reference to the beloved British comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

For those who haven't seen it there’s a bit where King Arthur and the lads come across the cave of a mighty beast. This monstrous thing is responsible for countless deaths, though the gang are surprised to see it’s merely a white rabbit, but a vicious one at that.

In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt you’ll also find a white rabbit sat outside the cave entrance, a clear as day reference to the Monty Python film.

Weirdly the rabbit can’t be slain, with sword swings completely missing the creature every time.

Clearly this thing is too powerful for even Geralt to tackle, so the witcher purposefully misses his swings to not antagonise it. That or maybe he’d just misplaced his Holy Hand Grenade.

It’s a lovely little reference and clearly someone at CD Projekt Red is a fan of the Monty Python films for it to be included in the first place.

The secret cave was shared to Reddit recently which for some players was their first time seeing it.

“When I found this cave and that lonely rabbit, I first checked my inventory for a holy hand grenade, saw there was no such thing, then slowly walked away," read one of the comments.

“I was so stoked when I saw this cave entrance and the rabbit! Another neat Easter Egg: You can find the body of Tyrion Lannister in Skellige," said another.

One more read: “Hahaha!! I’ve told people about this years ago and everyone one was “Yeah, whatever!” Lol!

"Witcher 3 gives so many rewards for the players who hunt.”

We don’t know when The Witcher 4 is meant to release, and it probably won’t be for a while, but when it does we can’t wait to see what secrets and Easter eggs are left to uncover in its open-world.
