Since it was first released back in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has cemented itself as one of the best RPGs of all time and now it is back in the way you would least expect.

Despite being the third instalment in The Witcher series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt managed to break the mould and stand out amongst its predecessors so it is perhaps no wonder that its popularity continues to this day.

Helping inspire a Netflix television show with the same name, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continues to appear across various forms of media and this time, it is appearing in another much-loved RPG.

Released back in 2024, Sword of Convallaria is a fantasy tactical RPG combining Japanese turn-based combat and pixel art to create a world full of plot twists where you can define your own destiny.

Players will be in charge of recruiting and training mercenaries, customising their squad, and using strategy to save the nation of Iria.

Boasting a “Mostly Positive" rating on Steam, Sword of Convallaria is not one to miss out on, especially as it is set to enter into collaboration with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

According to an official press release, XD Games has revealed that Sword of Convallaria will launch a special crossover event with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with more details to be announced soon.

What can we expect?

For now, we do not know much but this is what the press release had to say about the exciting collaboration:

“Following its successful first anniversary and a popular crossover with Delicious in Dungeon, Sword of Convallaria continues to expand its universe through creative collaborations.

The upcoming partnership with CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt marks a new milestone, bringing together two worlds beloved for their moral depth and distinctive art styles.”

We also do not yet have a release date for the crossover but there is no doubt that fans will be eager to see the likes of Geralt of Rivia and Ciri in an adorable pixel-art style.

In the meantime, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for just £24.99 on Steam so if you have somehow missed out on the award-winning RPG which sits at an "Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, now is your perfect chance.
