CD Projekt RED fans will undoubtedly want to keep an eye on the upcoming Dawnwalker, an action RPG from a brand new studio made up of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 alumni.

It was two years ago that the formation of studio Rebel Wolves was first announced.

Spearheaded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the studio is in the midst of development on Dawnwalker which it describes as a ‘dark fantasy narrative sandbox’ RPG.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game is to be set in medieval Europe with a full reveal due in the “coming months” according to a press release.

In case you missed it though, Rebel Wolves has already dropped a couple of pieces of concept art giving us an idea of what to expect.

Dawnwalker will kickstart a new saga with a planned release across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

As such, it certainly sounds like the title is releasing this console generation which would place it in the next three years or so.

ICYMI: Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on 31 October - something else that’ll appeal to RPG fans.

That’s not all we know about Dawnwalker as it’s just been revealed that Rebel Wolves has partnered with Bandai Namco to distribute the title.

In a press release, Rebel Wolves’ chief publishing officer Tomasz Tinc said, “Rebel Wolves is a new studio built upon solid foundations: a combination of experience and fresh energy. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack.”

He continued, “Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself. We're looking forward to working with them to bring the first chapter of the Dawnwalker saga to gamers worldwide.”

Bandai’s vice president for business development, Alberto Gonzalez, added, “By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience. We’re excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio.”

From Elden Ring to Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero, Bandai has distributed some incredible games.

Let’s hope that Dawnwalker is another banger.
