The latest trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI has thoroughly upset fans… and I’ll give you one guess as to why.

Last night, Microsoft held the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase. Many were expecting Bethesda to reveal some new information regarding The Elder Scrolls VI.

A trailer, perhaps. A screenshot or two, maybe. Jeez, at this point we’d settle for a throwaway line referencing literally any small piece of info.

Instead, we were treated to… nothing, unsurprisingly.

Even more unsurprising are the latest comments on the initial teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI. Folks are clearly not happy with both Microsoft and Bethesda, for obvious reasons.

“I give up”, commented user @nickolaschristensen3658.

“Been waiting 7 f**king years and still nothing. Time to move on to a different game, preferably one that isn't in a dead franchise.”

“Thinking about how Skyrim was released when I was 12 and realizing that Elder Scrolls VI still doesn't even have a name feels absurd”, stated user @gustavo_smaniotto.

“Bethesda, how much longer must we wait?”

“Can I have this game before I die please?” replied user @Augustus0802.

“I was 11 when Skyrim came out. Dog I’m married now wtf.”

Look, we all know by now that Bethesda’s choice to release a teaser trailer for a game that was clearly close to a decade away was a huge misstep on their part.

However, this radio silence strategy is pretty par for the course for them.

Basically since Fallout 3 dropped, Bethesda tend to only start ramping up advertisements and reveals for their big games mere months before they release.

What I’m trying to say is, while it may seem like The Elder Scrolls VI is still a long time off, I think the next time we hear anything regarding the game will be when they reveal its release date… so hold on for just a little while longer, folks.
