Fans of The Elder Scrolls franchise are starting to get their hopes up, with all the fanbase looking towards the Microsoft conference this Sunday.

It’s all with the hope of seeing the first trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI for many years - in fact, the only trailer we’ve had for the game was revealed back in 2018 as a very short teaser to let us know that Bethesda was working on it.

We know from recent updates that Bethesda has made great progress on the highly anticipated game that will follow on from Skyrim, and with this in mind, it has fans convinced we’re going to see the game in action this week, as part of Summer Games Fest.

Over on Reddit, one user lays out their thinking, “Todd mentioned that their "full production" usually last 12–24 months [...] They started full production in 2023, if Todd's timeline on full production is still true, then TES6's production should be close to being finished.”

They believe that Microsoft, who owns Bethesda, will want the developer to maintain hype after the release of Oblivion Remastered, and show off the new Elder Scrolls adventure.

I might be huffing the copium too, but it does make a lot of sense, and now is the perfect time for a trailer.

“I agree with you,” replied TristanN7117.

There is some doubt from a few, as seen here - “If it doesn’t happen this weekend, it could happen at the game awards,” comments daysofdre.

However, most are of the thinking that something big is coming.

“No gameplay trailer, but perhaps a title and location reveal,” wonders ActAccomplished1289.

Animelover310 notes, “TES 6 was first shown in E3 2018. It would be poetic if in this showcase, they showed Fallout stuff, followed by Starfield stuff and end it off with another TES 6 CG trailer or at best an in-engine trailer.”

This was the line-up in 2018, so we could see a repeat performance, but are we getting our hopes too high?
