The Elder Scrolls 6 fans salty over new trailer

To the salt mines, we go!

The Elder Scrolls VI fans grow ever more salty for its new trailers, or I should say, lack of.

Unless Bethesda plans to make a surprise reveal at some point this year, by the time we reach the next Xbox Games Showcase in 2026, The Elder Scrolls VI will have been announced eight years ago. Eight years, and we’ve had nothing since E3 2018.

I think we can all agree that, at this point, we’re all feeling somewhat numb when it comes to hoping to see a gameplay trailer for the next entry in The Elder Scrolls series, let alone knowing when it will be released.

Despite the numbness, I still think that on some level, a part of us still had a small glimmer of hope that Bethesda would at least drop new details on The Elder Scrolls VI during the Xbox Games Showcase over the weekend.

Alas, it’s another year of knowing less than Jon Snow. The only announcement we got related to the beloved RPG series was for The Elder Scrolls Online. If I’m sounding salty, that’s because I am, and I’m not alone.

“Another year with no The Elder Scrolls VI update,” exclaimed Redditor JojotheBoy26. “Consider me a sad sorcerer.”

“No Halo, Fable or Perfect Dark,” said onestarv2, adding to the pain. However, those words aren't entirely true, because Xbox chief Phil Spencer has seemingly teased the return of Halo, at least.

“I have zero expectations of another Elder Scrolls within my lifetime,” replied buffysbangs.

“Yeah, I was hoping for something like ‘still being worked on’, but instead we got fishing in Fallout 76 and Worm Cult with mohawk kitty in The Elder Scrolls Online,” said Lymiss.

“We got the Oblivion remake, at least. So we’ll let 'em off this year,” responded the forgiving ryohazuki91.

We’ll no doubt get news on The Elder Scrolls VI one day, but don’t expect that information to arrive anytime soon.
